What are the IBCS®?

 

The International Business Communication Standards (IBCS) are proposals for the conceptual, perceptual and semantic design of comprehensible business reports and presentations.

 

Which organization is behind the IBCS®?

 

The International Business Communication Standards Association (IBCS-A) strives to promulgate, maintain and develop further the International Business Communication Standards (IBCS). The IBCS is to become an international standard. In order to achieve this, contacts to well-known corporations and software and consulting companies shall be established and maintained.

 

The Standards shall be made available to interested users, consultants and software developers in a suitable form. IBCS Association publishes the Standards on this website and engages in extensive consultation and discussion prior to issuing new versions. This includes worldwide solicitation for public comment through the draft consultation process.

 

The IBCS Association is a non-profit association according to Swiss law and was founded on June 16, 2013. The main bodies of the association are the general assembly and the executive board. Individuals can apply for membership.
